Instead of writing a blog during my school days, I wrote in traditional, spiral bound notebooks. This blog is based on the pages of my journal and is set in the late 1980′s, but mainly the early 1990’s, before the Internet and e-mail became ubiquitous. I never revealed the contents of my journals to anyone, until now. I changed almost everyone’s name and altered some facts, in order to protect my innocent classmates. Each blog entry is based on parts of a real journal entry.

I think this is a wonderful concept, it reminds me of the television show “The Wonder Years” do you remember it?
Yes, that is actually what I had in mind. That show was a big deal when I was writing these journals. I also was thinking of a clean cut, midwestern version of “Gossip Girl,” which is based on a blog.
